Law Enforcement Social will be offering a class in August at Merced County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.
The Advanced Social Media Workshop is a two-day course where law enforcement officers, government officials, and firefighters can learn how to use social media to engage with the community. The class will teach attendees about live streaming, creating videos, making news releases, and developing social media teams. Those in the course will also learn public safety branding, how to improve public engagement, and the legal aspects of utilizing social media applications.
Law Enforcement Social is a program that educates those who work in public service agencies about using various aspects of social media. The group is a division of TOC Public Relations, which is an agency that offers communication consulting and helps with media relations. Past courses from the organizer include topics such as photography, creating mobile videos, and public information. The group also hosts annual events like the Law Enforcement Social Media Conference.
The social media class will be held from Tuesday, August 23 to Wednesday, August 24 and will last from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. The price for standard tickets to the lesson is $425 per student. Organizations that hold informative seminars like this for public services agencies may use poster printing to make ads to display on community noticeboards.
