Classic pop tribute band coming to Merced

ABRA Cadabra, an ABBA tribute band, is coming to the Merced Theatre in April.

Hailing from Vancouver, B.C., ABRA Cadabra is making its first ever stop in Merced as part of its current tour, which also includes stops in Bakersfield, Arroyo Grande, Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, and Grass Valley.

The musical content is appropriate for all ages, with classic tracks including Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Fernando, SOS, Take A Chance, and Mamma Mia.

With over 20 years of experience performing for audiences across the globe, ABRA Cadabra’s performances boast a live band, dancers, era-accurate costumes, and an emphasis on vocal performances. Audience members are encouraged to interact with the band during the show, which includes Invitations to dance and sing along.

Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Singapore’s Esplanade Theatre, and Florida’s Universal Studios are just some of the major venues the band has performed at among its many diversely attended shows over the decades.

The ABRA Cadabra cover band was formed in Canada by co-founders Jeanette O’Keefe and Jonas Falle, paying tribute to the Swedish Europop legends who formed in the late 1960s. Concerts like this may choose to use banner printing to create stage decor and vendor Signs.

ABRA Cadabra is performing on Wednesday, April 15 at the Merced Theatre at 301 W Main Street St in Merced. Tickets range in price from $52 to $72.
