Atmospheric indie band touches down in Merced

Alternative rock torchbearers Nineteen Minutes Later are coming to the Merced Theatre this October.

Originally from Denver, the band is currently on a tour of historic theatres throughout the west.

Known for their atmospheric tone and emotional songwriting, Nineteen Minutes Later has a catalogue of both original music and collaborations with other artists to create immersive songs inspired by their hometown’s unorthodox history.

Denver is known for its historic and reportedly haunted landmarks, including the Oxford Hotel. Back in the later 1800s, the area surrounding the hotel and near Union Station was known for its restlessness, violence and sometimes decadence.

Nineteen Minutes Later formed its sound on those same streets, incorporating elements of haunted histories, folklores and stories of love and loss into their lyrics.

The band’s current tour includes performances in Redding, California; Kansas City, Missouri; Englewood, Colorado; Boston, Massachusetts; and Glenside, Pennsylvania.

Their newest album is called Anna Maria following the self-titled debut album Nineteen Minutes Later.

Coinciding with their latest album, Nineteen Minutes Later has also released “Anna Maria: The Web Series,” a docuseries on YouTube exploring the life of the band, a collaboration with Books and Other Works Productions.

Concerts like this may choose to use flyer printing to create low-cost promotion in the community and merch Signs.

Nineteen Minutes Later is performing on October 30 at 8 pm at the Merced Theatre at 301 W Main St in Merced.
