Crab feed event to fundraise for Merced High School band

Merced High School’s marching band is holding a fundraising feast with crab as the main dish this spring.

Each ticketholder to Merced Marching 100’s First Annual Crab Feed gets access to as many helpings of crab, salad, and rolls as they can eat. The event will also include a silent auction and live dessert raffle.

The crab feed is being organized by the Merced High School Band Booster Club. Its mission is to promote the music program to community members and encourage an environment of respect and musical excellence. The Booster Club is supported by volunteers and donations that go toward the high school band program.

The Merced Marching 100 has a rich history dating back to 1948 under then band director Fred Stein. Since then, the Merced Marching 100 has performed in a variety of venues, including overseas in Vienna, Austria and at countless other high schools in the U.S. The current band director is Ashley M. Shine.

Fundraising meal events like this may choose poster printing to get the word out in the community.

The Merced Marching 100’s inaugural crab feed is happening on Saturday, April 26 at the Merced County Fair Grounds Pavilion. The doors open at 5:30 pm and dinner starts at 6:30 pm. Tickets are sold online and cost $80 per person or $550 for a table of eight.
