Woodbury University is inviting Lafayette and Bay-area counselors to a free breakfast so that the university can showcase its programs.
Woodbury is among the oldest higher education institutions in Southern California, tracing its history back to 1884. It offers bachelor's degrees in architecture, media, business, and the liberal arts. It is a nonprofit institution with a student body of about 1,200 and boasts a student-teacher ratio of 16 to 1.
The Woodbury University's Bay Area Counselor Connection is designed to educate high school, independent, and community college counselors on the benefits of enrollment at Woodbury so that more students will consider the University for their post-secondary education.
The University will be giving out $1,000 scholarship vouchers for counselors to give to students who enroll in Woodbury for the fall semester of 2020. It will also be informing counselors about its undergraduate programs and its practice-based model, which insists that every student receives an internship for hands-on learning and work experience.
There will also be a free breakfast. Events such as these can benefit from brochure printing services from local Print shops to give to potential clients and attendees who want more information.
The Woodbury University's Bay Area Counselor Connection event takes place Friday, March 20, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the Lafayette Park Hotel and Spa, 3287 Mount Diablo Boulevard.
