The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Concord Chamber to host a nonprofit networking and educational event this June.
The morning will open with time for networking, and the presentation will begin at 10:45 am. This will be followed by a breakout session and structured group discussion. After the closing remarks, attendees will take a group photo and have dedicated time for posting social media content. Chamber of Commerce members often use business card printing services to prepare for this type of large networking event.
Caitlin Sly, the president and CEO of the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, is hosting the event and giving the main presentation. She will discuss ways for nonprofit leaders to recruit the right board members for their organizations’ missions, keep them engaged and empower them to succeed. The Food Bank provides 2.7 million meals to anyone in the community experiencing food insecurity. It relies on both partnerships with other nonprofits and volunteers to do its work.
The event is free to attend and open to any members of either Chamber involved in the nonprofit space, including executives, board members, staff and volunteers. Attendees should register on their Chamber’s website.
The JOINT Nonprofit Network event will be on Monday, June 15, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.
