Annual food-tasting event to return to Lafayette

Lafayette is hosting its annual restaurant stroll tasting event this May.

A Taste of Lafayette will feature more than 25 restaurants located downtown. Participants can visit each location for food samples. Confirmed restaurants include 360 Gourmet Burritos, Amarin Thai Cuisine, Kiku Sushi & Vegetarian, Sideboard Neighborhood Kitchen and Coffee Bar, and The Lafayette Scoop. The full list is available on the event page. Local eateries often use poster printing services to promote their participation in this type of community event.

Generations in Jazz and New You Dance Center will perform in Lafayette Plaza during the event. The performance is free and open to the public, and non-ticketholders are welcome to bring a picnic dinner or order takeout from downtown restaurants to eat outside.

Tickets are available on the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce website, priced at $85 per person now that the early bird offer has passed. Tickets often sell out, so those planning to attend are encouraged to purchase theirs as soon as possible. The restaurant stroll is open to all ages, but participants will need to show ID to prove their age for any alcohol samples. Check-in and event passport pickup will open at 5:00 pm.

The Taste of Lafayette Restaurant Stroll will take place on Tuesday, May 19, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, in downtown Lafayette.
