Tasty event scheduled in Lafayette

A popular and delicious event is coming up in Lafayette.

The “Taste of Lafayette” Restaurant Stroll is on the schedule, offering participants a chance to nosh on goodies from some of Lafayette’s favorite restaurants and bars. The stroll is just that, as participants walk from place to place, enjoying samples at those they would like to visit. They are also welcome to walk at the pace they find works best for them.

Music will be played throughout the event at various locations around the city, including Daniel Ray Hilsinger, who will be near Postino, and Lonesome Eddie and the Saddle Sores, who will appear in Lafayette Plaza Park.

Organizers expect more restaurants to participate. Currently, more than 20 establishments have signed up, including RÊVE, Kiku Sushi & Vegetarian, and Postino. Organizers of this type of event can use flyer printing to create a map for participants.

There will not be any refunds given. If health guidelines force cancellation, the Stroll will be rescheduled, and participants will have their ticket honored at the new date. The event is open to everyone, but those sampling alcoholic beverages will be required to show their ID.

The Taste of Lafayette takes place May 17, beginning at 5.30 pm. Tickets are now on sale and tend to sell out, so anyone interested should buy now. Lafayette Plaza Park will have a bar, live music, and a will call from 5.30 pm until 7.00 pm on the night of the Stroll.
