Lafayette is hosting a local food tasting event this spring.
During the Taste of Lafayette Restaurant Stroll, participating restaurants in downtown Lafayette will serve samples and small bites. Attendees will receive an event passport that includes a map of these locations. Restaurants often use poster printing services to advertise their participation in this type of event. Businesses that have signed up include Amarin Thai, Tabula Tea, Lafayette Scoop, Sideboard, Tutu’s Food and Drink, and Wine Thieves. The full list is available online. There will also be live music performed in Lafayette Plaza, a photo booth and other entertainment activities.
Tickets are available on the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce’s website for $75 per person. Attendees can be any age, but they should be prepared to show ID at bars or restaurants that serve alcohol. All of the participating restaurants are within walking distance of each other. Metered parking is available throughout downtown, and the area is close to the Lafayette BART station.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the Community Foundation of Lafayette. The Community Foundation provides grants to local nonprofits to support their work.
Taste of Lafayette will take place on Tuesday, May 20 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The ticket pickup area will be open from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
