As the new year approaches, a class will be presented in Lafayette that will help residents learn how to select and prune their fruit trees to fit the climate of the region. Participants will learn ways to incorporate trees into their individual home landscapes.
The in-person event will be held at the Lafayette Veterans Hall. It will be presented by Phil Pursel, who is the territory Manager with the Northern California Dave Wilson Nursery. He has been in his current role for 12 years, and has worked in the nursery industry for over 40 years.
Brochures are often used to communicate upcoming classes to the local community. The brochure printing can include images and graphics related to the class and the presenter. They can also state the date, time, and location of the event as well as any related ticket pricing.
Pursel will discuss ideas for backyard orchards and how to use proper techniques for pruning to protect deciduous fruit trees. He will also discuss how landscape design plays an important part in the overall finished project for years to come, noting that finding the correct varieties of plants and trees for a specific climate is essential.
The class will be held on February 1 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. More information is available via Eventbrite. All health and safety protocols will be followed during this event.
