Lafayette has coffee with Mayor

The Lafayette Chamber will host "Coffee" with the City of Lafayette Mayor Susan Candell in a few weeks. The Mayor will discuss her priorities for the city for the remainder of the year including the General Plan which is new.

Other priorities include public safety and housing mandates. The event organizers have set this activity up as a virtual gathering utilizing Zoom teleconferencing. The meeting will last approximately one hour.

With so many meetings and conferences taking place now using virtual presentation platforms, graphic design has taken the forefront. Local printing services have graphic design artists to assist in creating professional presentations.

The "Coffee" with the City of Lafayette Mayor Susan Candell event will take place April 9 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Upon registering, participants will receive an email confirmation that will include pertinent information to join the webinar.

In existence since 1947, the chamber is a volunteer-based entity with a goal to serve the business community while remaining committed to the best interests of Lafayette.

Mayor Candell was sworn in as Mayor in December. She is a 20+ year resident in Lafayette, has served on many councils and boards. She has also volunteered for several non-profits and charities such as LPIE and the Children’s Hospital.
