Lafayette Chamber to host summer mixer

The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce will host a mixer event to allow members and guests to mingle and meet the new management of the local Park Theater.

The event will be held outside in Lafayette Plaza Park. Attendees will be able to network with Chamber members and sample some food and drinks available from local restaurants. Sideboard will be serving mac and cheese, and Hollie’s Homegrown will be offering a tasting of local wines. Attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets and can expect to receive Park Theater Promotional Products.

Jaimi Holker and Adam Bergeron, the husband and wife team overseeing the renovation of Park Theater, will discuss how local businesses and leaders can get involved in the project. The theater is owned by the nonprofit Park Theater Trust, which intends to reopen it in late 2023 as a hub for arts and entertainment. When surveyed, Lafayette residents consistently mention reopening the theater as a high-priority community concern.

Those planning to attend the mixer should register in advance on the Chamber website so the group can prepare name badges. The event is open to both members and non-members. Chamber leaders will discuss upcoming community events as well.

The summer mixer event will take place on Wednesday, August 24, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, in Lafayette Plaza Park.
