As part of its partnership with SCORE, the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is continuing to offer small business help during office hours this summer.
During the normal working day, both Chamber members and other small business owners are invited to schedule an appointment with a SCORE expert to discuss their business questions and concerns. The business counselor can help with a range of issues, from financial plans to Logo Design to project management. The Lafayette Chamber’s SCORE representative is Mike Harris, who has experience in marketing, operations management, and helping small businesses obtain working capital loans.
These meetings are free for attendees but need to be scheduled in advance. Business owners can sign up for a timeslot on the Chamber’s website or by calling the Chamber at 925-284-7401. Appointments will last for 30 minutes each.
SCORE works with the U.S. Small Business Administration and local Chambers of Commerce to offer free and low-cost support for small businesses. This includes training, mentorship and templates for important business documents like marketing plans and cash flow statements. The organization believes that strong small businesses are an essential part of their local economies, and aims to help create stronger communities by working with individual small business owners.
Small business office hours are available on Tuesdays from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the Lafayette Chamber Office.
