Lafayette business to host crab feed fundraiser

AB Construction is getting ready for its annual crab feed fundraiser for The Sentinels of Freedom in Lafayette in January.

Those interested can participate by picking up takeout or by dining in. Takeout pickup will be available from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Friendship Hour will take place from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, with dinner to follow. The dinner menu includes fresh crab, pasta, French bread, and seven-layer salad. Wine, beer, and cocktails will be available for purchase. Attendees can bring their wine with them – a corkage fee of $20 per bottle applies.

After dinner, there will be an auction, raffle drawing, and dancing. Attendees should purchase tickets in advance online. The cost is $90 per person, with reduced rates for children under 18. Fundraising events often use brochure printing services to share information about the organization being supported.

A Sentinel Scholarship will benefit from the proceeds of this event. The Sentinels of Freedom works to provide veterans who have experienced severe injuries with the support and resources to pursue their future goals. The scholarship program supports a veteran over a two- to four-year period, depending on the individual’s needs. It includes access to financial coaching, job search assistance, networking, and mentorship.

The crab feed fundraiser will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Lafayette.
