An upcoming event in Escondido will teach children about the importance of understanding science and nature.
Thermo Fisher Scientific and BQuest Foundation are teaming up to host Nature Night at the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum. People attending the event will be able to become advocates for Earth by undertaking an adventure to save the planet. There will be opportunities to explore STREAM subjects (science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math) at the event.
Activity booths will provide children with a chance to enjoy hands-on experiences where they will learn about sun prints and cloud formations. Various organizations will be on hand to help children learn about their areas of expertise. Ocean Connectors will explain marine ecosystems, and Tree San Diego will teach about tree identification.
The California Wolf Center will explain the science of scent, and the Little Shepherds Nature Lab will demonstrate composting. One Clean Beach will talk about recycling, and the Escondido Creek Conservancy will describe the effects pollutants have on creeks.
Finally, the San Diego Bird Alliance will talk about the native seeds that are most helpful to local birds.
If people get hungry, they can stop by Puras Papas food truck or get ice cream from Cabetos Pops.
Nature Night will take place April 5, from 5.00 pm until 7.30 pm. The museum is at 320 North Broadway in Escondido. When they plan events like this, organizers might use flyer printing to create informative handouts for attendees.
