Escondido prepares for Earth Day celebration

This April, Escondido residents are invited to Washington Park for the third edition of the city’s annual Earth Day festival, a community-focused event emphasizing sustainability, creativity, and environmental stewardship.

The gathering will feature a variety of interactive activities designed for all ages, including yoga sessions, upcycling workshops, arts and crafts projects, and a succulent swap for gardening enthusiasts.

Local vendors and community organizations will provide educational resources and hands-on demonstrations promoting eco-friendly practices. Attendees can explore booths highlighting sustainable products, meet local artists, and engage with groups driving environmental change. Students and volunteers can participate in service opportunities while connecting with like-minded people who are passionate about conservation.

Food and beverages will be available from local businesses. The event encourages participants to bring reusable containers.

Visitors will have the opportunity to plant sunflower seeds donated by Fisher Tool & Garden, purchase houseplants from The Green Nook, and transform old T-Shirts into reusable tote Bags during craft sessions. Entertainment includes live performances by local musicians and cultural artists.

The event is open and free to the public and vendors. To register and gain additional information, attendees can visit the Eventbrite listing. Promoters often use poster printing to reach the broader community for events such as this one.

The Earth Day Escondido festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 4 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Washington Park, 501 North Rose St, Escondido, California.
