Escondido participates in crochet basics bootcamp

CoLabCrafts will host a two-session beginner crochet workshop designed for individuals with little or no prior experience.

The hands-on program will provide participants with step-by-step instructions in core crochet techniques while creating a welcoming environment for those interested in learning a new creative hobby. The classes are open to individuals of ages 10 and older.

The first session will focus on the basics of crochet, including comfortable ways to hold the hook and yarn while maintaining even tension. Participants will learn essential stitches such as the slip knot, single crochet, chain, and double crochet.

During the second session, attendees will build on those skills by practicing techniques such as turning a project, increasing and decreasing stitches, and crocheting in the round. The workshop also includes guidance on interpreting yarn labels and selecting suitable hook sizes, helping beginners feel more confident when purchasing materials and continuing the craft independently.

Each class will last 90 minutes, and the event has a no-refund policy. General admission tickets cost $65.00, with $6.21 in fees, for a total of $71.21. Registration closes September 8.

Event hosts often use flyer printing to promote workshops like this and share important attendance details with prospective participants.

The workshop will take place on September 2nd and September 9th from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, at CoLabCrafts, 143 West Grand Ave, Escondido, California.
