Concert series marches on in Escondido

A series of concerts is continuing in Escondido.

The Live at The Center Concert Series is in its third year, and is a collaboration among the Six String Society, Vintana Wine + Dine, and The Centre.

The upcoming concert will take place at the Moonlight Veranda, one of several venues in The Centre, and will feature Ash Easton and the Proper, and The Sleepwalkers. Ash Easton has worked to perfect her craft, working at vocal training in various genres. She cites artists like Janis Joplin, Chris Stapleton, and Johnny Cash as inspirations, and draws from the Latin community, as she is Puerto Rican.

Easton and her band the Proper offer everything from straight rock to ballads, and are representative of Southern rock. She won the title of “Best New Artist” at the 2023 San Diego Music Awards, and the following year, was nominated as “Best Rock Artist” at the awards.

The Sleepwalkers often find themselves nominated as “Best Roots Band” at the San Diego Music Awards. The group blends genres, playing blues-rock, Tex-Mex, country, rockabilly, and more. One writer says:

“It is music on its own terms, minus the glitz, instead just representing the musical heart and soul of the cats who laid it down.”

The Centre is at 1205 Auto Park Way, and the concert is scheduled for Thursday, August 21 at 6.00 pm. Organizers frequently advertise events like this with Posters they can order at Print shops.
