Corinne Bailey Rae is a native of Leeds, England, where she started her musical career while she was still in school, studying classical violin before becoming interested in singing. In 2006, Bailey Rae released her self-titled first album, and had the satisfaction of watching it debut in the No. 1 spot. At the time, Bailey Rae was only the fourth female British act to achieve this.
Bailey Rae was nominated for three Brit Awards and three Grammys in 2007, as well as two MOBO Awards, which she won. She won a Grammy in 2008 for Album of the Year for her featured work on Herbie Hancock’s “River: The Joni Letters” album.
Her work continued to pay off when she released “The Sea,” her second album, in 2010, and garnered a nomination for the 2010 Mercury Prize for Album of the Year. She won a Grammy in 2012 for Best R&B Performance for her cover of “Is This Love?” by Bob Marley and the Wailers. She dropped her latest album, “The Heart Speaks in Whispers,” in 2016.

“Corinne was AMAZING! Her voice is so beautiful and true.”
