Kern County Taxpayer Association holds annual golf classic
Golfers here in Bakersfield will be heading out to the Annual Kern County Taxpayer Association’s Donna Carpenter Memorial Golf Classic in mid-May.
Individual registration will be $125 and team registration will be $1,000 (including a hole sponsorship). Registration and lunch will begin at 11:00 am with a shotgun start at noon. This event will be in a scramble format.
Contests include most accurate long drive, closest-to-the-pin, and closest-to-the-hole. The “Hole-in-One” winner will receive a car. Winners of the team putting contest will be the team that has the lowest combined distance from a designated hole. Individual putting contest winner will be the golfer that putts closest to the hole. All golfers will be entered in a drawing.
Guests are invited to stay after golfing to enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
Seven sponsorship opportunities are available. Each tee sponsor costs $125 and The Driving Range and Putting Green sponsors are $250 each. Sponsors at the $3,000 and $5,000 levels will need to get their sponsorship banner printing done before the event. These banners will be placed at the check-in and lunch area. The $5,000 level will also have a banner at the evening reception. The other levels are the Ball or Cigar Tent sponsors at $2,000 and Event sponsors at $1,500.
