Many here in Bakersfield are looking forward to the 28th Annual Village Fest coming in early September, while others are going to the 1st Annual Old School R&B Soul Festival.
Village Fest will have 15 bands on five stages, and 16 acres divided into six themed areas. Thirty local restaurants will be serving food samples, and over 60 breweries will be offering more than 100 different types of brews. The Vino Village will feature over 70 wines from more than 25 Central Coast wineries.
Many guests will probably be checking to see if the event has any T-Shirts sporting this year's graphic design for purchase.
Tickets start at $115.44. Admission will include unlimited food bites and 15 drink samples.
Ten percent of the proceeds from the event will go to The Children's Advocates Resource Endowment, a local nonprofit that fundraises for children's charities.
The 28th Annual Village Fest will take place Saturday, September 7th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Kern Pioneer Village, 3801 Chester Avenue.
Bakersfield 1st Annual Old School R&B Soul Festival will have two live DJs, live bands, R&B performances, and food vendors.
Early bird August tickets are $45.
