Anyone who wants to learn more about the history of Bakersfield will soon be provided with an opportunity to participate in a family-friendly festival.
The 2026 Kern Oil Festival has been created to highlight how the oil industry has impacted the local community, and numerous onsite activities will be made available. The event is sponsored by the Kern Energy Foundation.
As the title suggests, many of the themes will be directly tied to the oil sector. Guests can enjoy a selection of attractions, including displays of heavy drilling equipment used when oil is extracted from the ground.
However, other activities are meant to appeal to all ages and interests. Live music, face painting, bouncy houses for children, and food vendors are some examples. A STEM center will also be highlighting the role of modern technology in everyday life, and this hands-on zone is particularly suitable for younger visitors.
Interactive festivals will frequently turn to marketing techniques that are equally engaging. Some well-known approaches include partnering with a reliable brochure printing service, creating Flyers that can be distributed in bulk, and handing out free Posters that double as keepsakes.
The 2026 Kern Oil Festival will be celebrated on Saturday, November 14 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. All events are being hosted within Stramler Park located at 4003 Chester Avenue. There is no charge to attend, and no reservations are needed.
