Although January in Bakersfield is known for rather cold temperatures, things will soon be heating up thanks to the Dia de Los Reyes Magos taking place in early 2026. The event is expected to attract a wide range of participants.
The Dia de Los Reyes Magos consists of five different races, so competitors can choose the most appropriate competition based on individual preferences. However, the most popular events are the 5K, and the half marathon. Note that there is also a race open to children, and prizes will be distributed at the end of each event.
The Dia de Los Reyes Magos Half Marathon offers more than a means to test one's endurance. Additional on-site attractions include refreshments such as hot chocolate, and a traditional Spanish treat known as "rosca de reyes" (a type of sweet bread).
Events such as this will often use several proven tactics to keep the public informed. Some techniques include professional banner printing, distributing Flyers in public locations, and reserving airtime on local radio stations.
The 2026 Dia de Los Reyes Magos Half Marathon will be taking place on Saturday, January 3rd. All contestants are asked to arrive at Yokuts Park located at 4200 Empire Drive immediately before 8 AM. Note that prices will vary in accordance with the type of competition. More information can be found on the official website, or by contacting a Bakersfield Town Hall representative.
