The community of Bakersfield will soon be marking the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act.
This event will highlight the progress already made across the past three decades while simultaneously addressing challenges that still need to be addressed.
Hosted by the Independent Living Center of Kern County (ILCKC), the 2025 ADA Convention will focus on specific topics such as inclusion, accessibility, and advocating the rights of those who suffer from various disabilities.
While this event is open to the general public, it is also possible for industry professionals to attend. They can use various means to advertise their services, such as Business Cards, Flyers, and Brochures. Vendors will need to register in advance and pay a fee of $100 if they wish to promote their products.
The 2025 Kern County ADA Conference will be hosting well-known speakers from organizations such as the California Civil Rights Department, and the Pacific ADA Center. Topics to be discussed include kiosk accessibility, the compliance processes associated with disabled rights, and innovative funding solutions.
The 2025 Kern County ADA Conference is being held on Thursday, July 24 at the Bakersfield Marriott at 801 Truxtun Avenue, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. More information can be obtained by contacting ILCKC Executive Director Jimmie Soto at (661) 325-1063, or visiting the ILCKC website.
