Tucson showcase a gem for visitors

The Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Showcase is now underway and taking all over the city at more than 40 locations, including exhibit tents, giant halls, and hotels.

The Showcase includes a variety of separate shows with dealers selling a range of items, including rare diamonds, jewelry, loose stones, minerals, and fossils. Most of the shows welcome the public, but some of them are only for wholesalers, who need to present some identification regarding their business in order to view them.

Officials with Visit Tucson recommend that people do some research before coming to the Showcase to determine what they are interested in seeing or buying, and then finding the vendors that best match their interests. Visit Tucson may have used local Print companies to Print Brochures with further details about the Showcase, who the vendors are, where they are located, the times they are open, and what they have to offer.

The Tucson Convention Center will be host to the main Tucson Gem and Mineral Show during the last weekend. It will have exhibits of museum quality, featuring a unique item on display. For business owners, there will be many networking opportunities and free seminars, as well as a Junior Education Area designed to attract families.

The Showcase, which has been a fixture in Tucson for 61 years, officially runs until February 15.
