Multi-day music festival returns to Tucson

Tucson’s Pima County Fairgrounds is hosting the weekend-long Gem and Jam Festival this February.

Featuring dozens of musical artists in the electronic dance music space and other genres, the festival returns after a temporary hiatus. The festival also includes other performances, art and a focus on gems and minerals.

Now in its 17th year, a new partnership with promoter Relentless Beats, who is behind many other local music festivals, helps to bring more than 80 artists to the stage.

The Sonoran Desert location places the multi-stage festival in a setting that is surrounded by nature. Live paintings, gem and mineral exhibits, workshops, art installations and artisans reflect this environment.

The artists headlining the festival include Tycho, Clozee, G Jones B2B EPROM, Troyboi, Wonkywilla, Yak Attack, Zone Drums, Boombox, Boombassador, Artifakts, Yhet B2B Toadface, Sean Watson, Sed’s Vortex, Slick Floyd, Wax Future, Kaipora and many others.

With even more late-night sets than past iterations, the Gem and Jam Festival grounds span 640 acres, with overnight camping options, including RV passes and glamping tents, for a fee.

Festivals like this may choose to use banner printing to create vendor Signs, marquees and stage decoration.

The Gem and Jam Festival is happening on February 6-8 at the Pima County Fairgrounds at 11300 S Houghton Rd in Tucson. In addition, there is a pre-party featuring a modest lineup of artists set to perform on Thursday, February 5.
