Tucson band hosts album release show

The La Rose in Tucson is hosting an album release show by local band Sparrows and The Last Train next month.

Liz Cerepanya and Peter Dalton Ronstadt are the musical minds behind Sparrows and The Last Train, whose latest album, Under Sonoran Skies, is being celebrated.

Ever since beginning their collaborative musical partnership in 2019, they have explored both classic and modern material, and become known for incorporating elements of Americana with a Western aesthetic and attitude.

The band’s first album, Beautiful Strangers, was released back in 2021 under the then-moniker Liz and Pete. It features nine tracks with an array of melancholic, folk and country-themed songs. The album featured a mix and master completed by Ronstadt at LandMark Sound Recorders in Tucson, making it a local musical creation from the ground up.

Sparrows and The Last Train’s album release celebration also comes amid the band’s ongoing tour, which includes other stops around Tucson and surrounding cities, and performances in Colorado, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania.

Album release shows like this may choose to use Stationery printing to create CD cases, merch table labels, and vendor Signs.

Sparrows and The Last Train - Album Release Celebration is happening on Tuesday, September 1 at 7:30 pm, with doors open at 6:30 pm, at La Rose at 800 N Country Club Rd in Tucson.
