The Tucson Jazz Festival is making its return in January.
Taking place in a variety of different venues over multiple weeks, the festival is an opportunity to soak in the improvisational melodies from jazz artists from all over the world. Shopping, cuisine, art, culture, and handcrafted beverages are also part of the experience.
The lineup of artists includes people who perform in a vast array of jazz subgenres, from fusion to swing and everything in between. Vendors include art galleries, restaurants, hotels, and breweries offering food, refreshments, and entertainment to festivalgoers.
Though many of the artists include well-established and award-winning musicians, some of the performers are up-and-comers. With the Tucson Jazz Festival’s year-round educational programs for both children and adults getting into music for the first time, some local students are even able to perform at the festival.
This year’s artists include The Black Market Trust performing at La Rosa, Pink Martini performing at the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, Gerald Clayton Quartet performing at the Rialto Theatre, Jonathan Pinson performing at The Century Room, and the Hamilton De Holanda Trio performing at the Paul and Alice Baker Center for Public Media.
Music festivals like this may choose to use Print shops to create music sheets, setlists, and promotional material.
The Tucson Jazz Festival is happening from January 16 to 24.
