Tucson gets the pick of Halloween events

The 27th annual Pumpkin Festival and Corn Maze, which attracts people of all ages, will be held by Buckelew Farm in Tucson later this month.

Admission to the festival includes wagon rides through the pumpkin fields, three corn mazes, an inflatable obstacle course and slide, pumpkin painting, and duck races. People can pick their own pumpkins or purchase ones already picked. Also available are food and drink, arts and crafts, and a country store with Apparel and other merchandise.

The Festival will be held the last three weekends in October from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The first is the Halloween Boo Bash presented by the Pima Community College East Campus and the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department. Held at Lincoln Park, this will be an evening filled with tricks and treats. The evening will include entertainment, a haunted hay ride, carnival games, and storytelling. A costume contest will be held for families with categories six category groups based on age for judging costumes. There will also be food for purchase.

The Boo Bash will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with the costume contest beginning at 5:30 pm.

Flyers with more information about these events may be used by both the farm and the City to promote them to the public and encourage attendance.
