Wilmot Plaza in Tucson will be home to a new Dick’s Sporting Goods store later this month – the ninth one in Arizona.
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Dick’s, Lauren Hobart, said that the store is relishing being part of the community in Tucson. The goal of the sporting giant is to serve athletes of all ages with the equipment they need to be able to perform at their best.
A grand opening ceremony is coming up and will last three days. Many giveaways are planned over this period, including opportunities to open the Dick’s Sporting Goods Gift Locker, free Reebok PlayDry T-Shirts, and free mystery gift cards worth between $5 and $500.
Saturday will feature an in-store appearance by Miles Simon, a former national champion basketball player, from noon to 2:00 pm.
Under Armour and Nike lines will be featured at the new store, as well as outdoor and athletic Apparel, and gear for camping, fitness, team sports, fishing, and hunting. Services will include professionals from the outdoor sports of golf, biking, and fishing.
The store will open this Friday, September 11 at 8:00 am.
