Tempe will soon be playing host to the 2017 Arizona Aloha Festival, which promises to bring a piece of the Pacific islands to the heart of Arizona.
The event, which is suitable for all ages, will feature traditional culture from Tahiti, Hawaii, Samoa and the other islands in the South Pacific.
There will be live music, demonstrations of dance and games, cuisine to sample, crafts for the kids to make and take home with them, and much more. In addition to all of this, there will be raffles and draws for an assortment of prizes, and plenty of other fun for the whole family.
Money raised through the festival will be used by the organizers to support community groups, provide scholarships, supply Books and other educational materials to libraries, and make teachers and other educators available to go into classrooms and share their knowledge of Pacific Island culture. Themed decorations, including Banners, for a celebration like this can be supplied by a local printer.
The event has been planned for March 11 and 12 in Tempe Beach Park. It will run from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on both days, and there is no admittance fee being charged. Anyone who would like to learn more about the Arizona Aloha Festival and the organization that will be hosting the event can do so through its website.
