Downtown Tempe will once again transform this December with the multiday Festival of the Arts.
Chock full of exhibiting artists, food and beverage vendors and live entertainment, the festival has a history that stretches back more than half a century in Tempe.
As one of the oldest festivals in the Southwest, it draws over 350 artists from all over the United States. Other amenities include local music and food options, and a Kids Block full of children’s activities.
Attracting more than 200,000 visitors during both its spring and fall iterations, the weekend-long festival has received numerous awards over the years, including routinely ranking in Sunshine Artist magazine’s Top 100 Classic and Contemporary Craft Shows in the nation. The International Festival and Events Association has also honored the Tempe Festival of the Arts with the renowned Pinnacle Award.
The free event is dog-friendly and includes a food court, beer garden, snack section, and a dedicated children’s section featuring outdoor games, Lego activities, sidewalk chalk drawing, a young artists’ exhibit, and a parents’ lounge.
Festivals like this may choose to use flyer printing for spreading the word through the community about vendors, activities and dates.
The Tempe Festival of the Arts is happening on December 5 and 6 from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, and on December 7 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm in downtown Tempe near Mill Avenue and 5th Street, as well as the surrounding blocks.
