The Four Peaks Oktoberfest will be returning to Tempe Town Lake this fall, taking place over a weekend.
Such special events are often promoted throughout a town and region with poster printing.
The events on Friday will begin with an Okto Friday Happy Hour from 5:00 to 7:00 pm where all beers that are priced over $6 will have a $1 discount. A watch party just west of the Mill Ave Bridge will have a 9 foot by 16 foot screen featuring Stanford playing Arizona State University at Sun Devil Stadium. Music headliners will include Wyves and Authority Zone.
Saturday’s activities will include the 29th Runnin’ for the Bräts, which is comprised of a 10K run, a 5K run and walk, and a one-mile walk and run with all routes surrounding scenic Tempe Town Lake. Brown’s Amusement will showcase a Double Dare You to Ride the Freak Out!! There will also be a USSHA Sanctioned Stein Holding Contest on the main stage at 6:00 pm with special prizes to be awarded to the winners.
Sunday’s highlight is the Wiener Invitational, a race of the fastest pure bred German Dachshunds west of Albuquerque, made possible by donations from fans. NFL Football will start at 10:00 am on the big screen serving brunch, bratwurst, and beer.
The festival will take place on Rio Salado Parkway from Friday, October 8 through Sunday, October 10.
