The Mark Cuban Foundation Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamp will be held by DriveTime in Tempe this fall.
This Bootcamp on artificial intelligence will be free to underserved students in high school and will introduce basic skills and concepts in AI to these students.
The Bootcamp will cover what artificial intelligence is and how students already interact with AI technology in their daily lives. The ethical implications of AI will also be covered, including such topics as self-driving cars, facial recognition, and smart home assistants. Students will also learn how large language models are changing our daily lives by telling original stories, answering questions, and generating computer code.
Volunteer corporate mentors will be on hand to help students learn material that is typically taught at the college level. Students will work with open-source tools to build applications in AI related to machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
Such bootcamps offer ideal opportunities for local Print shops to provide printed materials such as Booklets and Brochures, which students can take home with them and study.
The Bootcamp will be held on four Saturdays in a row, starting on October 14 and ending on November 4, running from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Those accepted into the program are advised that they must attend all four sessions.
