Tempe residents invited to gourmet dinner in the desert

The Desert Botanical Garden will once again be hosting the Seasonal Table series of special dining experiences, and people from Tempe are invited to come and taste what’s on the menu.

The first meal of 2017 will feature cuisine that highlights flavors from the southwest United States and Mexico. Prepared by Chef Eddie Coronado, it will include a first course of freshly made Mexican shrimp cocktail, then an esquites salad followed by steak ranchero. At the end of the meal, a dessert of tres leches will be served.

While guests enjoy their dinner, they can sip specially selected wine pairings. A Stationery printing company will be bale to produce printed Menus, place setting cards and more for an event such as this.

The Southwestern USA-Mexico Seasonal Table will be held on January 19th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Tickets for the occasion have been priced at $150 for botanical garden members and $160 for non- members. It is open only to those aged 21 and over, and ID must be shown before entry. Funds raised will be used to help support the facility’s research and conservation activities and programs, and organizers recommend that anyone who is interested purchase his or her ticket well in advance. They are available of the botanical garden’s website.
