An event will soon be taking place in Tempe that will seek to offer the area’s homeless veterans, and others who are experiencing financial difficulties, a variety of housing options based on the tiny home model.
During the Tiny Homes on 35th Fundraiser Dinner, guests will have an opportunity to provide tangible support to those in need of a hand up. The fundraiser will include music, an assortment of menu items, as well as raffles and a variety of other activities. Those who come out will get a behind-the-scenes look at the organizer’s efforts in the community, and a discussion of its future goals.
According to Build Us H.O.P.E., the plan is to build a community based on the group’s model. It will contain an assortment of tiny home-style living options, as well as community gardens and farming, walking trails, meditation areas, and more, all built using sustainability as a center point.
Proceeds from the occasion will be used by the group to help make sure that everyone in the area has a place to call home.
