Tempe entrepreneur specializes in reselling

Scott Fitzgerald did not quit when his last sports store closed, as he launched a resale enterprise instead.

Mr. Fitzgerald spent over two decades as a retailer in the sports sector. At one time, he was responsible for three stores. When the last store shut approximately half a year ago, he used some of the experience he had gained to start over.

As a retailer, Mr. Fitzgerald observed that about 10% of his sold products were returned to him. He now sells goods that large companies do not wish to dispose of themselves. If he wants to promote his new service more extensively, he could use business card printing in Tempe.

Mr. Fitzgerald has told The Arizona Republic:

“Each product has to be looked at differently: How can you most efficiently resell it, and if you can't, the most environmentally way to dispose of it.”

It has been reported that consumers have become more conscious of the resale concept because of TV shows. They may be tempted by the price of resold products. Mr. Fitzgerald has suggested that the goods in his outlet might cost about half what they were originally priced at.

Some items which are acquired by the business cannot be sold to customers because of quality issues. However, these damaged goods can often be sold to other reselling specialists like scrap yards. This process can be beneficial to the environment because waste is minimized.
