Tempe-based cleaning company expands its outreach

Going GreenHouse, a residential house cleaning company based in Tempe, has acquired Essential Cleaning, a company that is also in the house cleaning industry and has a similar mindset and business model.

This will enable Going Greenhouse to expand the territory it covers and its client base throughout Scottsdale, Phoenix, and the East Valley. This has always been a longtime goal of April Prothero, founder of the company.

Prothero started the business 12 years ago when she wanted to get out of her cubicle a few days a week. She used non-toxic products, which she created to clean her own house. She also was looking for autonomy in her work, freedom, and an active lifestyle. Less than a year later, she hired her first employee and had enough clients to quit her corporate job.

Prothero makes sure she establishes good communications with her clients and employees. Going GreenHouse begins with a comprehensive pre-consultation with clients to understand their needs and wants its employees to feel proud of the work they are doing.

Such businesses can benefit from the use of brochure printing to outline their special services and expanded areas of service.

The acquisition will also enable Prothero to establish a non-profit entity that will help seniors and those with mobility issues to clean their homes themselves. Prothero also hopes to join the Entrepreneurs’ Organization to become a better business owner and better serve her team, clients, and community.
