Runners and recyclers unite for a good cause

All Tempe runners and recyclers are invited to be a part of the up-coming 5k Recycled Run.

This is an opportunity to combine two passions in one event and support a good cause at the same time. A recycled run is where all shirts and awards from one event are given to those from another.

Shirts with logos from previous events will be handed out to participants on a first-come-first-served basis. Awards from previous events will be awarded to the top three female and male winners in age groups. The youngest group will be for 5/6 year olds. Other age groupings go up to 80+. Special awards will go to the top three female and male overall finishers. Runners may wish to have banner printing done for the finish line.

Soles 4 Souls will be collecting gently used clothing and shoes at the park. A raffle of items supplied by local sponsors will be held.

Entry fees for the 5km will be $35 on registration day; pre-registration was $25 before August 25 and $30 until 6:00 pm on September 5. Runners will register and pick up their packets starting at 6:00 am the morning of the race. Awards will be presented immediately after the race.

The run will be held September 6, 7:30 am at Kiwanis Park, North Soccer Field, 95 W. Baseline Road, Tempe.
