Local event to teach secrets of small batch chocolate making

An event has been planned in the Tempe area that will give people an introduction to a local chocolatier and the products it crafts.

Those who attend the event will discover the process of taking simple pods of cocoa beans and making them into bars and other confections. There will be a demonstration of micro-batch production, and participants will be able to sample both chocolate nibs and chocolate liquor, which is made from pure cacao with no sugar added. A printing services provider can craft Signs, Brochures and an assortment of other products that can help to ensure that a function such as this is a success.

After they get a chance to watch the demonstration, they will be able to sample different single-origin dark chocolate with the guidance of an experienced chocolatier. Some of the confections have been specially crafted just for the event. In addition to all of this, there will be a video that shows how cocoa is grown, harvested, and made into chocolate, and also how a factory then uses products of this process to craft small batch treats.

The tour will take place on May 20 at Zack’s Chocolate, which is located 6990 E Shea Blvd in Scottsdale. The cost to participate will be $45 each, and additional details are available on the company’s Facebook page.
