Leadership position announced at college in Tempe

Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe has named Professor Zachary Holman as its new vice dean for research and development.

Such new positions often call for business card printing services.

Holman is a professor of engineering in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. His specialty is engineering and materials science for solar technology. His research efforts at the university have been broad and include co-founding three start-up companies in the fields of photovoltaics and materials science and brokering agreements with academic and industry collaborators to expand the impact of research at ASU.

Vice provost of engineering, computing, and technology at ASU and dean of the Fulton Schools, Kyle Squares, said that this new role for Holman is well deserved and that he envisages a bright future for the Fulton Schools under his leadership.

Squires added that Holman has consistently shown that he is able to define and execute solutions to research questions that add to the understanding of engineering, while also developing real-world solutions that inspire further research. He said that everyone is looking forward to supporting Holman as the university grows its research portfolio to align with the goals of the university.

Holman said this will be the first time he will have a leadership position with a team already in place. His goals include improving logistics and efficiency where possible to facilitate the development of innovative processes and technologies.
