The inaugural cohort of Global Partner Affiliate Faculty for this academic year has been announced at Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe.
Such announcements are often made known throughout a campus and the community with poster printing.
This is a designation that will last for one year, and was created by partnering with Cintana Education. It recognizes outstanding faculty from the network of ASU of 20 partner universities from around the world.
The Global Partner Affiliate Faculty affiliation enables the faculty to have exclusive engagement with the ASU Library, events, and teaching resources, and to network and collaborate with key leadership in the university.
Nancy Gonzales, the provost and executive vice president of ASU, said that this faculty is recognized for its outstanding teaching, scholarship, and commitment to ensuring a high quality of education for students in their regions. She expressed her excitement about welcoming them into the first cohort, who will advance academic collaborations between their home universities and ASU.
Head of student and faculty engagement for the Office of Global Academic Initiatives at ASU, Lois Malone, said that these faculties and this collaboration is one more way that ASU is developing connectivity and activity around the world with the university’s unique partnership with Cintana Education. Malone added that they will be able to provide fresh perspectives at ASU as well as make significant changes in their home institutions.
