HR firm to establish Tempe presence

Human resources organization Zenefits has revealed it has plans to open a Tempe office during the fall.

The expanding tech firm has also announced its intention to recruit 700 more staff. When its new office opens, Zenefits could make use of Stationery printing in Tempe to get the word out.

Mark Woolway, a vice president in the field of business operations and corporate development, has told the Phoenix Business Journal:

“We’ve found a great talent pool in the greater Phoenix area. We’ve been able to hire a lot of ambitious, smart people and we want to keep tapping into that market. This Tempe location is great, too.”

The company has its main base in San Francisco, but last November it opted to move into its first office in the area of Phoenix. In May, Zenefits declared that it had managed to raise $500m.

The core aim of the business is to help SMEs by the delivery of a cloud-based platform for human resources. This can enable the automation of activities which would otherwise prove to be time-consuming. The outfit started out during 2013, but it already has in excess of 10,000 business clients within almost all 50 states.

The construction of the Tempe office is not yet completed, but Zenefits has revealed that it has chosen to sign up for a lease of 10 years. It will occupy nearly 140,000 square feet of space in the vicinity of a lake.
