Fourth of July festivities planned for Tempe

This Fourth of July, the city of Tempe will be celebrating America’s birthday in style.

The festivities will take place in Tempe Beach Park, where there will be summertime treats such as shaved ice, southern barbecue, hot dogs and fried bread. Local musicians will be on hand with live music to entertain the crowd, and an assortment of inflatables will available for the kids to enjoy, free of charge. Vendors from throughout the community will have a variety of display and booths set up for those who come out for the evening to browse through. Banners in red, white and blue can be used to decorate Independence Day themed events such as this.

As the sun goes down and the festivities draw to a close, the Fireworks Spectacular, which will be held courtesy of the Kiwanis Club, will begin. Its organizers hope that it will be one of the best in the Phoenix area. The public is reminded that sparklers and other novelty fireworks will not be permitted.

The Fourth of July celebration is planned for Tempe Beach Park, starting at 5:00 pm. Lawn seating will be available on a first come, first served basis, and the public is reminded to bring along a folding chair or blanket to sit on while they enjoy the show.

Further information about the event can be found on its website.
