Experimental office project to come to downtown Tempe

Redevelopment plans for a mixed-use property in downtown Tempe have been unveiled by George Oliver, a developer based in Phoenix.

To be called Arbor, this will be an experimental office project. The campus of five buildings will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind retail and office destination in the heart of a popular office market. When completed, it will span 124,189 square feet and have a five-story office building and four two-story, mixed-use retail and office buildings. Arbor will be on the southwest corner of Third Street and Mill Avenue. Banner printing used on such sites enables those in the community to be informed of projects and keep up to date on their progress.

The design theme of the project will be to create an indoor-outdoor environment that highlights its urban location. There will be patios and courtyards that will become semi-private park settings, cabanas for small breakout sessions, a garden-style conference room for large gatherings, a dog patio, game area, and a networking patio on the rooftop.

The focus of the project will be the Denizen amenity lounge which will be a concierge hub and gathering space with a test kitchen, collaborative seating, cocktail bar, and virtual darts. Next to the lounge will be a wellness center with a fitness room and day lockers, weights, cardio equipment, saunas, and showers.

Renovations are expected to begin by the end of this year and completed by the summer of next year.
