Distillery and chef collaborate in Tempe

Arizona Distilling Co. in Tempe will soon be offering shareable plates and wood-fired pizzas to accompany its award-winning craft drinks and spirits.

These new menu items are the result of Ryan Moreno taking over the kitchen of the distillery with his new concept, &Juliet Neapolitana. Moreno is the chef of The Hungry Homie, a mobile pizza pop-up, as well as SnapBack Pizzeria on Grand Avenue in Phoenix.

Jason Grossmilller is the head distiller at and co-owner of Arizona Distilling Co. He said that he wants to bring great food, cocktails, and spirits to the community of Tempe, adding that he knows that Moreno will be able to help him in this effort.

News of such expanded offerings by an establishment is often disseminated throughout a community with flyer printing.

Talking further about the collaboration, Grossmiller said that a mutual friend introduced them in the spring of 2023. The two held several summer pop-ups at the distillery space in Tempe that were highly successful and decided to go ahead with a permanent partnership.

Moreno said that Arizona Distilling is an advocate of shopping locally and supporting the area’s small businesses and residents, which is one of his values as a business owner.

Arizona Distilling Co. is in the downtown area of Tempe and is a casual spot in the neighborhood.
