Some Like it Hot, a musical comedy set in Prohibition-era Chicago, is coming to ASU Gammage in Tempe in February.
The show swept the Tony Awards and took home other accolades after it first premiered on Broadway during the 2023 season.
Some Like it Hot is about two musicians who accidentally witness a crime committed by the mob, and they must assume new identities and flee as a result. As they journey across the country, they cross paths with a singer who has big dreams of being a star. The motivations and relationships of everyone involved soon become complicated, and they must try to keep their affairs in order even as gangsters continue to track them.
After its stint on Broadway, the show went on tour in the U.S., performing earlier this year in San Franciso and Reno, among other stops. After its performance in Tempe, it is slated to visit a number of other theatres across the country throughout the year, including in St. Louis, Omaha, Memphis, and Baltimore.
Musicals like these may choose to use flyer printing as a cost-effective promotional tool, and brochure printing to make audience programs.
Some Like it Hot is coming to the ASU Gammage in Tempe from Tuesday, February 11 to Sunday, February 16. Its running time is two and a half hours.
