Queen Creek will celebrate its Founders’ Day with an outdoor fair this September.
The event will include vendors, relay-style competitions and an FFA (Future Farmers of America) Zone. In the FFA Zone, attendees can try milking a cow, interact with farm animals and learn about agriculture in Arizona. Attendees can enter pie and watermelon-eating contests, try axe-throwing and enter a team cornhole tournament. A Tot Spot play area for kids five and under will also be available.
Attendees will need wristbands to participate in certain activities, including relays, carnival games, mini golf and a Nerf battle. The rest of the fair is free. Information about purchasing wristbands will be available on the Town of Queen Creek website soon. Details about parking and a shuttle service will also be posted as soon as they are available. Vendor, sponsor and volunteer registration is open now.
Food, retail and nonprofit vendors can apply through August 6. Those interested in having a table at future Queen Creek events as well can get a multi-event discount on the vendor fee. Vendors often have Business Cards available for interested customers at this type of community event. The organizers are also looking for volunteers to help with setup and during the evening.
Queen Creek Founders’ Day will be on Saturday, September 19, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Frontier Family Park.
