The HUB student space is hosting a pickleball fundraiser in the East Valley this summer.
The event features a casual pickleball tournament and unlimited food and drinks from a buffet. Tickets are $100 for pickleball players and $50 for spectators. Players will be matched with others of a similar skill level. Both competitors and spectators will receive exclusive event T-Shirts. Organizers often work with graphic design experts to create event shirts. Spaces are limited, so those interested in attending should sign up as soon as possible.
Sponsorships are also available. Packages range from $500 to $10,000 and include benefits like inclusion on the event T-shirt, listing on signage, and mentions in social media promotions. Details about all of the sponsorship tiers are provided on The HUB’s website.
Proceeds from the tournament will support The HUB, a collection of community spaces designed to provide resources for students. Services include academic support like computer access, tutoring, and exam proctoring, and support for basic needs like hot meals, a food pantry, and hygiene products. Transportation to The HUB is also available. These spaces are open to any students in the area, including those in Queen Creek and other towns in the region.
Grab a Paddle Change a Life will be on Saturday, August 1 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Dink & Dine Pickle Park in Mesa.
