Queen Creek to host annual founding celebration

Queen Creek is celebrating its Founders’ Day this September.

The event is free to attend and will include activities for all ages. The signature events are eating contests, which will start at 5:30 pm and a set of relay competitions between the Queen Creek Fire Department and Police Department, which will start at 7:45 pm. Those who would like to participate in the eating contests can sign up beginning at 5:00 pm.

Other attractions will include a Future Farmers of America (FFA) Zone where attendees can milk cows and have other interactions with animals. A play area will be set up for children ages five and younger. Towns often use banner printing services to mark key areas during their community celebrations. Vendors – including food sellers, retailers, and non-profit organizations – will have tables set up during the event.

Some activities require participants to purchase tickets or a wristband. These include axe-throwing, obstacle courses, and other inflatables. All-inclusive wristbands cost $15 per person, and axe throwing costs $5 per five throws. A free shuttle between parking lots and the event space will be provided. A detailed parking map and information about the shuttle route are available on Queen Creek’s website.

Queen Creek Founders’ Day will take place on Saturday, September 21 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Founders’ Park.
